Chris completed his formal architectural education in 1985 and since then has worked as a partner and/or director in various practices in Leeds and Harrogate.

In April 2000, with a young family, he started working from his office at home. The majority of his work is for House Builders for whom he designs one off houses and small estates. He also retains an interest in certain commercial, industrial and retail projects including diversification works on farms and small holdings.

In 1997 he received the Leeds City Council Award for Conservation for a project involving the restoration and conversion of a derelict Victorian Mansion and Coach-House together with new development of houses and flats set within an 8 acre wooded site within a conservation area which accommodated several protected wildlife species. He maintains an interest in conservation work and usually has several conservation projects underway at any one time.

He is very technology oriented and produces all his work with Computer Aided Design.
