We will offer a fixed fee with no VAT applicable to provide the necessary designs and drawings to make a householder planning application on your behalf. We will modify and revise the design as many times as necessary to ensure you end up with the design you want at the fee we quote.

Our Building Regulations Drawing service provides enough information for any competent builder to provide an accurate price for the work and to go on and build the project. Fixed Fees for this service will depend on the size of the projects and will have no VAT applicable.

Nether Poppleton, a village and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England, has a fascinating history and unique architectural features:

1. Origins and Name:
   • The name “Nether Poppleton” likely originated from Old English.
   • “Popel” means “pebble,” and “tun” implies a non-forested landscape or hamlet/farm.
   • Thus, Nether Poppleton translates to “pebble farm” due to the gravel bed upon which the village was built.
   • It is adjacent to Upper Poppleton, west of York, and close to the A59 road from York to Harrogate.
2. Historical Significance:
   • Nether Poppleton is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and an Anglo-Saxon charter from around 972.
   • St. Everilda’s Church, with origins dating back to the 12th century, stands as a historic landmark.
   • The village was once associated with St. Mary’s Abbey in York and became a Conservation Area in 1993.
3. Important Buildings:
   • St. Everilda’s Church: Listed Grade II*, it has late medieval and subsequent rebuilding. Some 14th-century window glass remains.
